Maybe if we all compare notes on these Trotters, we might come up with some relationships. Hardy Ellis married Martha Dennis Trotter in Montgomery County, 22 May 1815. According to pension records, she stated her full name as Martha Dennis Trotter and that neither had been married to anyone else. Hardy owned land on Hurricane Creek until abt 1832 when he sold it and the family moved to Calloway Co, KY where he received a land grant for his service in the War of 1812. I have no idea who Martha's family is but know there were Trotters on census and land records in the same area Hardy was in. I also know the Ellis' were Methodists. Sandy Ellis
