Millie, My great grandmother was Alice Gibbs. She married Lawson Sanford. They married in 1871 in Montgomery County. Lawson Sanford was living two households from Thomas Gibbs in the 1870 census so I believe this is the Alice Gibbs that he married. I lost Alice and Lawson after the 1970 census and have never been able to locate them in any other census after 1870.
