On Sunday, 29 June 2003, the Cemetery Committee of the Millenium Commission will hold our last public meeting. The meeting will be at the Montgomery County Archives in Veterans Plaza on the Crossland Street side from 1 to 4 p.m. Our goals are to identify all the cemeteries in Montgomery County, mark 100 of those cemeteries, and locate all cemeteries on a new county map. So far we have over 500 cemeteries on our list. We are still very short of Black cemetery locations and desperately need help locating where those are on the map, even the ones that are active. Our meeting Sunday is for the public to view the map in progress, and add any cemeteries not yet found or identified. This will be our LAST public viewing before final printing of the map although we will be continuing to work on it up to the September deadline. If you have information on any Montgomery County cemeteries, please join us Sunday. If you cannot meet with us, you can e-mail the Archives. Please furnish all the following information that you can: cemetery name (if known) district nearest road or address contact person (name, address, phone) your name, address, phone/fax/email any persons known to be buried in this cemetery any remarks Looking forward to seeing you Sunday. Jill, Is the Dudley cemetery on what used to be Dunlop Lane in District #6 (there's been road construction and the name of the road may have recently changed) included? This is in the area of the new road made to go to the shopping mall and beyond. Believe the mall is called Governor"s Mall.
