My boyfriend called the the other day to tell me that he'd found some old graves from WWII at Fort Campbell while he was hiking the other day. He said he would take me to them the next time I'm up there visiting, if I wanted. These are graves of German soilders (POW's) who had died while being held at Fort Campbell. I told him of course I'd love to see them, so next time I'm up there instead of walking the obstacle course we are going grave looking. There's also "regular" military cemetery there on base that I'm gonna check out as well, if anyone has any ties to the Army and would like me to see if I can locate a headstone for you while I"m there please let me know. Not sure when the exact date is that I'm gonna get to go back up there, he's training for his second Iraq deployment right now, but will be sometime in the coming month.
