I did not find the Moore book at my library, but found a reference to it. I found "Tennesseans in the War of 1812" by Sistler (1992). This book refers to a card file to be found on microfilm at the TN State Library & Archives in Nashville. The card file was produced from the original muster rolls. Either another copy of the card file, or the original muster rolls are at the National Archives in DC. "Tennesseans in the War of 1812" has these entries for John Rook on page 438: Rook, John, Pvt Col R. H. Dyer, Capt. Robt Edmonston TN Vol Mtd Gunmen Rooke, John Pvt Col John Cocke, Capt. Joseph Price, Inf Sister noted that duplicate names were left in the book when it was not obvious that they refered to the same person. There were no locations given for Rook.
