Linda, I am using the latest version of FTM and find that it is great for entering data and moving around in the data file. I think it is very easy to use but not very good for making reports. For reports I use The Master Genealogist. TMG is much harder to learn great for reports. I used TMG for the whole book. I used FTM to keep all the data and just read the FTM files into TMG; TMG can read FTM maker files as well as its own. Then one of the innumerial report forms (or you can make your own report forms) is to read out the genealogy report in a word format with imbedded index marks. Then it was simply a question of piecing the genealogy reports togther using Word. In summary, FTM is easly the simplest and easiest to use. TMG is hard but easly the best for reports and handeling the data. Hope this helps, Bob Rye

I think it is very easy to use When you say that you have the latest FTM, are you talking about version 11 or 2005? I wasn't aware that 2005 had actually shipped yet. I ordered it as soon as I was notified, and was told that it would ship late this week. _\|/_\|/_\|/_\|/_\|/_\|/_\|/_\|/_\|/_\|/_\|/_\|/_\|/_\|/_\|/_\|/_\|/_\|/_ | Roger L.
