MARIE V. ROBERTSON --------------------------------- HOPKINSVILLE -- Marie Vier Robertson, 86, Covington's Convalescent Center, died at 10:42 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2004, at Covington's of natural causes. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Revs. James E. Talley and Dewayne Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Powell Cemetery, LaFayette. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 tonight at the funeral home. A native of Christian County, she was born Feb. 6, 1918, the daughter of the late Jim and Decker Griffy Vier. She had been a cafeteria worker for the Christian County Board of Education. She was a former member of the Sharon Presbyterian Church and later the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Bennie Robertson, died in 1987. Survivors include a son, J.B. Robertson, Herndon; three daughters, Mrs. Willie (Betty) Stevenson, Mrs. Freddie (Mildred) Sowell and Mrs. Dale Pryor, all of Hopkinsville, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
