I'm looking for the Manson family of that county who lived near Clarksville at least by 1860. The apparently migrated there at some point from Virginia. In the 1860 and 1870 there is a Thomas H. Manson and his wife Sallie. In their household in 1870 is a black/mulatto family by the same name. I'm assuming they were former slaves that stayed with the family.
