    2. Larry Smith, What Smith's are you attached too? My G.Grandmother was Ina Mae Smith Welch & she had 2 sisters that moved...maybe to California. That is part of my family tree missing...could you be related? Jeff Burton

    3. Hi Jeff, My Grandfather was Mack Ferrin (Tiney) Smith, son of Mack Ferrin (McFerrin or MF) Smith. His father was Harry McFerrin Smith, son of Samuel R. Smith. Samuel R was awarded 1000 acres of Montgomery County for service in the Revolutionary war. He moved to TN from NC in 1830 when he was in his 70s, and is buried in what is now Ft. Campbell. I know absolutely nothing about his ancestors. Ina is not in my database, but if there is one thing I've learned during the past year, it's that I have a LOT of cousins I haven't found yet.
