Julie: Thanks. I had all of this except the marriage to Randall Metcalf. I didn't know about that one. Harriett used her maiden name in the other three marriages. At first I thought there were several Harrietts, but proved they were all the same person. I found two different marriage records for Harriett and Samuel Scudder, one in Montgomery County in 1868 and another in either Dickson or Stewart County in 1871. I found the last one in a book and could never find it on the microfilm. The 1880 Montgomery County census shows Florence Scudder, age 6, as being born in Illinois, so Harriett must have been in Illinois about 1874. But it also shows Florence's father as being born in Illinois, and I know that is not correct, if Samuel Scudder really was her father. I wonder what Harriett was doing in Illinois. Mary
