Jean, I have looked through the Books on 1850, 1860, 1870 census for Tennessee and have been unable to find our William who married Elizabeth Cartwright listed. I did find a record of the marriage in 1849 in a early marriage booin Davidson Co. TN.. It seems as if they just vanished. Do you have access to Kentucky Census for this time period? Maybe they moved to Kentucky as someone sent me information saying my ggrandfather James R. Ferrell was born in Christian County Ky. Laura
