Hello, I'm new to the list and trying to find out information about my gggrandfather, William Erwin Davidson, who was born January 13, 1847 in Montgomery Co., Tenn. His war records of the Civil War gave his birth date two years later than we originally had. I am trying to find his parents. Does anyone have access to a 1850 census that might tie him in? It's "that time of year" when teachers want students to work on their genealogy and I have a young friend in W. VA. that is trying to find some information on her g-grandparents, etc. I don't have a lot of information to go on except their names and it's possible that they may still be living. Is anyone researching the DUKE or EVANS families that might know the ancesters of Mildred DUKE or William EVANS? Thanks for any help! Sandy Ellis
