    3. Hi Debbie! No, I know nothing about the Lyons--just that there are umpteen Rooks with Lyon(s) as part of their name and that one of the two John Rook ancestors I'm desc. from was md. either to a Nancy or a Sarah Lyon(s). That is all I know about the Lyon(s). The problem is we have never been able to really nail down which John Rook md. the Lyon(s). We have lots of "clues" but the two Johns (one the father, the other the son) are so closely entangled with the Lyon(s) and the Moody lines that we haven't really been able to sort them out. Mr. Nesbitt states that John (the son) was md. to a Nancy Lyons but we are still not sure this is correct. Of course, in the back of my mind is the thought that Mr. Nesbitt must have "inside" information in that he has talked to people who has known of these folks all of their lives so how would he know the Lyon(s) name if the John who was md. to her was the father when he never settled in Mont. Co.? There are some serious questions but I keep going around and around in circles! Sound familiar?<LOL> Jean ----- Original Message ----- From: "Debbie McMinn" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, January 12, 2001 9:33 PM Subject: Re: [TNMONTGO-L] Gutheridge Lyons Jean, Do you have a Nathaniel Lyons b. abt 1820's? 2 of his daughters married into my Davis' in Southern IL in the 1850's but the Davis'were born in Mont.Co.?
