There is another book on line that I enjoyed. It is written by Mrs. Irby Morgan of Nashville and tells what it was like during the Civil War. It is called "Four Years Among the Rebels" and can be found at http://metalab.unc.edu/docsouth/morgan/morgan.html There are over 200 pages but those are the small book pages. I printed it out on 86 8 1/2 X 11 sheets. There are some photographs included. It is the diary of a girl written during the Civil War from Sumner Co. The diary is in a collection at Duke Univ. Two ways to look at the diary--page by page in her actual handwriting or the words only. The annotations are excellent, giving history of each person and battle. the site is: http://scriptorium.lib.duke.edu/williamson Ida
I work at Michigan State University and transcribed 130 original civil war letters that my boss had. A book was published but is not on line. The letters were from a yankee soldier to his sister. thanks again At 12:42 PM 1/9/01 -0800, you wrote: >There is another book on line that I enjoyed.
