Hi Linda Thanks for the reply. I see that you are also researching the Young name. My Samuel Young said in his Rev War pension application that he lived in both Sumner co TN and Logan co KY. I do not have exact dates that he was in either county but he had to have been there for a period between 1790 and 1810. Since Montgomery and Robertson counties were made from Sumner co and I have seen his name in the histories of those two counties. I beleive he left the area before they were formed. I suspect that he left adult children in the area when he came to Illinois. Do you have any Youngs in the area that could fit into this catagory?. I would not be surprised to find an son Samuel and there is a Betsy that married an Underwood that I would suspect that was his daughter. thanks J.
