    3. I was thinking along the same lines as Mary but didn't they rule out West Nile Virus already? Have any of the doctors mentioned 'encephalitis'? I'm not a doctor and heaven knows I have no medical training but I was listening to something on the radio the other day and the symptoms are very similar. Wow! It appears we have more to worry about from little bloodsucking creatures than we do from terrorist. Karen

    3. Yes, West Nile Virus was ruled out. Viral Encephalitis has been discussed but not confirmed. The CDC and some 'elite team of professionals' haven't determined the cause of this 'virus'. (A friend, a critical care RN, told me that this 'elite team' was probably a team of specialists from Virginia---government doctors.) One report said that the family planned to be at the hospital this afternoon and all mechanical assistance will end at 5:00. I haven't actually confirmed this information and it came 2nd/3rd hand but I have no reason to doubt it. I feel like there will be an autopsy and maybe we will be told the cause--where this 'virus' came from. Sandy
