Hi Folks- In light of the type messages on Montgomery County Mail list this past week or so I believe it is time to discuss its purpose. This list was started about 4 or 5 yrs. ago to be used as a vehicle for family researchers to discuss matters concerning the county's genealogy and history. With this in mind I am asking that we remember what information we put on the maillist should be of interest to other members on the list. We do not need to get into private discussions, such as, Hi,- I'm here and thank you. These are better taken care of privately. We have a good list. Many folks have been able to further their research by discussing information on this list. And that is what I think this list is all about.
