    3. William-- I don't have any of the children of Andrew Jackson Bartee and Eliza Louisa Elliott. I'd be interested in any info on this line. Barbara, J.W. Bartee was Andrew Jackson's uncle. (Andrew Jackson Bartee was the son of William Ballard Bartee and Mary Welker.) I'm still not sure why he was living with the Corbett family on the 1850 census. He married Lucy Bullock in 1852 so perhaps he was in the process of moving from Dickson County to Montgomery County---just speculation! I haven't looked at this line for a while but if memory serves correct, Sarah was still living in Dickson County in 1850 and was raising William Ballard's younger children after their parents' deaths. Daughter Mary was living near Sarah (shown as next family on the census). Mary's husband James Washington Hays died in 1856. By 1860, Mary is in Stewart County with some of her children while Sarah is in Montgomery County with JW and Lucy Bullock Bartee. Martha was in the process of getting her records out but has been side-tracked a few times this past year. Right now, she's in the hospital---been there since Monday of last week. (She has a heart problem and I'm not about to 'push' her! When she feels well enough to get into her records, she will.) JW and Lucy Bullock Bartee were her Grandparents---no "greats". Their son EL was her Daddy. Sandy Ellis

    3. Sandy there is a Lucy also listed with my Corbett family in 1850 so you are right. Now if I could find out more on my Corbett's that would be great! Barbara
