Cleo/William I would be interested in anything either of you could share on the Welkers/Swifts. I haven't gotten back into the early 1800's yet. Welkers and Swifts married into my Cherry's. I haven't done a lot of research as yet on either branch. Their on my "to do" list. Ones I have were in the Palmyra area as far as I know. For right now the main one I'm looking for is Leonard E. Swift, nothing on him except he married Mertle Lee Cherry, 14 Jan 1887 Stewart Co.-25 July 25, 1927 Palmyra, buried Palmyra United Methodist Church Cemetery, married 29 July 1921 Montgomery Co. One daughter that I know of, Gerlene Swift. Mertle Cherry Swifts brother Brodis Cherry's daughter Myrtle Cherry married Robert Welker. Robert's family was also supposed to be from Palmyra area.
