Jerree-- Writing the courthouse in Montgomery County won't do you much good since there isn't much there (yet). The tornado kinda cleaned the courthouse out---it was eventually stripped to the bare walls. It's in the process of being restored. If you want any 'older' records, we have a county archives and our library has a genealogy department. Most available records have been microfilmed. Since you enjoy reading, you might want to see if you can find Titus' "Picturesque Clarksville" or Beach's "Along the Warioto"---both histories of Clarksville/Montgomery County. Sandy Ellis
