    3. I apologize for using the list for this purpose but I need to get a message to Stan Magnesen and I know he 'lurks' on this list. For Stan----Several years ago I told you that Mother had brought some papers and photos to me. I sent you and Sheila many of the old things that belonged to your Dad but I just ran across the envelope and was looking through old War Rations. Unknown to me, there were several old photos mixed in with the rations. These are originals with studio stamps on the back and most are identified. "Please" contact me so I'll know how to share these with you. Sandy Ellis

    2. Cleo, I want you all to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Here in tornado alley we are use to these things. We have early warning sirens and doplar radar which has helped save a lot of lives. I live in Fort Worth and we had a tornado hit here a few years back and then again this last spring but they were small ones. I am concerned about ya'll in TN and KY. I have become friends with several people on the Stewart County list. In the news here they mentioned Clarksville, TN. Can you shed any light on this for those of us who live far from you. Cathy Psalms 108:1-4 "My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast! I will sing and make melody! Awake, O my soul! Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn! I will give thanks to the thee, O Lord, among the peoples, I will sing praises to thee among the nations. For they steadfast love is great above the heavens, thy faithfulness reaches to the clouds."(RSV)

    1. [TNMONTGO-L] Port Royal Storm & Wind
    2. Cleo
    3. Well, I spoke too soon yesterday! Seems we DID have a "Big Wind" Sunday at 1am from somewhere SW of the city of Clarksville thru Excell community, touching down near E. Montg School (some trees down, fences down, roof shingles off) then to East of Sango community, over to intersection of Rosson Rd with Hwy 76, where numerous pine trees on that corner were twisted off, missing the black settlement and Mt. Zion MB Church there, but hitting head on while they slept, the Tooby family home, killing the couple instantly, I'd imagine, while they slept. She was a schoolteacher, and he a disabled horseman and welder, native of Australia, I think; their trailer home was scattered across the road, toward the antebellum Bourne home, which had no visible damage. I surveyed the damage from Port Royal thru Sango to Excell this morning. Most of the damage one could see from the roadways was at Sango and Port Royal. Two dead, is the current report. This happened Saturday midnite, not Sunday midnite, when we had a SECOND line of active Tstorms, with pea sized hail on Sunday midnite. I guess we'll call it the Sango-Port Royal tornado of November 2002, altho there may be other areas of damage I did not inspect........Cleo.

    3. We had some wind damage last eve around Sango, in East Montgomery, but am not aware of any damage downtown. What exactly did your brother say? Perhaps it was the upcoming reopening of the courts complex, scheduled for 22 jan 2003--Four years later. Tornado warnings tonite--maybe that's what was on CNN, too? Cleo in East Montgomery.

    3. Charles Edward Bryant, who married Carolyn Lisenbee, daughter of Horace and Carrie West Lisenbee, is the son of Blair Leonard and Beulah Todd Bryant. Blair was the son of John Hickman and Ellie Shepherd Bryant. John H. Bryant was the son of Mason and Maggie Stamper Bryant. Mason Bryant was the son of George Washington and Nancy Ross Bryant. George Washington Bryant was the son of Nicholas and Nancy Grimmer Bryant, who came to Montgomery County, TN in 1815, etc.------p. 147, Hogan, Donna Bankey (ed), Montgomery County, TN Family History Book 2000 (Paducah, KY: Turner Pub Co., 2000) There are a couple of articles on this family in this book, available at the Clarksville Library, and I suspect Charles Bryant's own book will have more recent generations, tho I do not have it. 3. Thanks for looking William ... not a clue here ... we have gotten obituary information on Blair and it has the following family members listed Robert Bryant George Bryant Louise Toler and something Nall - that are all brothers and sisters and has listed a Charles Bryant as a son who still lives in Clarksville and is around 75 or so ... He was married to Lucille "Johnnie" Bryant and worked at the American Tobacco Company in Owensboro until retirement. Are you in Clarksville TN? I am in southern AR ... if you are there, maybe you could help lead me to someone in the area that does family look-ups ..... Thanks, Linda Gayle BarnesWK@aol.com wrote:Hey LG Was Blair a brother of Berl Bryant? He married Omie ? can't remember her maiden name at the moment. 3. I am looking for any and all information on Blair Leonard BRYANT born 1910 in Clarksville, TN ... have been lead to believe that his father's name was John Hickman BRYANT and his mother's name was Ellie SHEPARD. This is all the information I have and the only thing that I know for a fact is that Blair was born in Clarksville in 1910 and died in Kentucky in 1986. Searching the net for info on John Hickman BRYANT I came up with a Tennessee marriage for Albert BRYANT and Nancy HICKMAN. Not a clue if they are going to lead to Blair, but this is a lead I am following at this point. At ancestry.com I came across the following information and not sure what it means or how to use it ... does anyone have access to do a look-up on this information?
