    1. [TNMONTGO-L] William Neblett
    2. Jeree, My notes (which I have not attempted to verify) give Stephen Neblett's father as John Neblett 1755-1830 who married Susannah Hightower 1757-1836. The parents of John Neblett are Francis and Elizabeth Sterling Neblett. Stephen Neblett appears to be a brother to William Jackson Neblett 1785-1850 ) who is the father of my interest Susan Neblett (1810-1845) who married a Dudley. This William Neblett is buried beside his daughter in the Dudley Cemetery in the vicinity of St. Bethlehem which is north of Clarksville. This was District #6. It appears that William Jackson Neblett also had a son named William L. Buchanan Neblett (1819-1870) who married 1. Knott and 2. Randolph. Appears he died in Obion Co. TN. Again, I want to stress this is info unverified by me. Except for the part about W. J. Neblett's burial plac.e Watch your email. I will see if I can send you a copy of some info. Barbara

    2. Barbara, Great....thanks so much. Was William Neblett (named in a boundary on Crooked Branch) the father of Stephen Neblett? I do see Red River on my atlas but I know nothing about it or it's settlers. I have not connected to David HARRISON yet........just trying to sort them all out to see who is mine and who isn't. David left all eight of his children upland and bottom land and slaves. I have not found the original grant/warrant/deed yet but it had to be well over 900 acres. Thanks again for your information....... jerree

    2. Mary, My sister lives in Ludlow, IL near Rantoul/Champaign and she told me the same thing this morning. I invite her out every year for the winter but can't pry her loose. We took a ferry to Alcatraz (on the outside top deck) last Saturday. We spent the whole day on the island and all my guys were in T-shirts.....I had on a jacket but then I am always cold. jerree

    2. Jerree, I am just beginning research on this Neblett family and I I found information on this Neblett family at Ancestry.com- with a search in Family Trees. He married Sarah Harrison Oct 1821 in Montgomery Co., TN. He married Susan Ann Keller 8 April 1837." The Neblett family is also in Red River Settlers. Do you have access to this? Barbara
