Cleo, You have made my day! A wonderful Saturday! Thanks so much! My connection is that Mary Bell Whitfield's mother was Laura Petrach Waller born c1840?-died? who married Constantine Whitfield (1835-1868). Laura P. Waller was a sister to my 2nd great grandmother Lucy Elizabeth Waller (1821-1878). The two women were the daughters (there were other children) of Thomas Carr Waller (1799-1872) and Martha M. A. Waller (her maiden name was Waller) (c1802-c1857) of Todd County, KY. Item #3 in Thomas Carr Waller's will: "It is my desire that my daughters Isabella and Virginia Waller shall educate and support my Grandchild Mary Bell Whitfield until her marriage or death should they out live her."Will Book M, Page 23, Todd County, KY. 1880 Census, Todd County, KY. ED #78, #2-2, Living with Belle Waller is May Belle Whitfield age 17. (I need to recheck my reading of the first name. Mary Belle/May Bell) From another source, whose accuracy varies, I learned Mary Bell supposedly married a Binkley. (Source about 95% correct as far as I can tell so perhaps I shouldn't be so doubtful.) I would say the burial of George W. Binkley in the Waller Burying Ground cements this as the right G. W. Binkley. Cleo, in your crystal ball, you don't just happen to know the location of the Waller Cemetery , do you? None of the cemetery sites have that info. Interesting, how "solving one question" always leads to another. Both Laura Waller Whitfield and Constantine Whitfield must have been dead by August 1870 as two of Mary Bell's siblings are living with their grandparents in the Joseph W. Whitfield household in Civil District #2 in Montgomery Co. I found an interesting map of 1870 Clarksville. There may be an easier way to get to the site, but I am sure this way works -and then you can work out a short cut that works for you. :) Use a search engine : perhaps Google. Enter: Mobil & Ohio Railroad+civil war Among choices will be: Map Collections 1500-2002 Use subject search box and enter: Clarksville, TN You can move around in the map and compare streets and buildings with those of today.
I would like to hear from anyone who has info on the G. W. Binkley family included in the 1900 Census of Montgomery Co. This family was in District #2. The husband's name may be George Washington (only a guess) and the wife's name is Mary Bell (maiden name Whitfield). There are 2 sons and 2 daughters. The children's initials are difficult to read but may be: S (daughter), T. D. (son), W.J. (son), and J. N. (daughter). The 1880 census shows two G. W. Binkleys. One is listed as George W. Binkley age 19, laborer, with the Perdue family and the other is listed as Geo. Binkley, age 18, laborer, with the Harring family.

Sorry everybody. I am trying again to see if my messages will post. Barbara
To the List Members: I have received several messages concerning emails with attachments originating from this list. I would like to remind everyone that there should be no attachments to messages received from this list. Rootsweb does not accept attachments. If you receive an email from this list or any other list originating on Rootsweb- DO NOT OPEN. There are a number of viruses circulating out there so please be careful. Frances Osburn List Owner
Barbara, Your message made the list! There should be NO attachments on a message to a rootsweb list. If somehow there is an attachment, it is probably a virus that has spoofed the address. Mary in Georgia, USA granmary@webtv.net Our Family Kudzu Vine http://community.webtv.net/granmary/family
Mary, Thanks. I sent that as a reply attached to Tommy's message. Now to see if I can send this with the address saved. Barbara
Tommy, I didn't receive the email you mention, but I am taking advantage of your message to see if what I am writing just now will get posted. I seem to be having trouble getting things posted. I upgraded my computer, lost the Montgomery Co. address, so I copied, I thought, this address from the site. Nothing. I emailed the webmester, and I seem to be in outer space. (Or at least that is where my postings are going.) Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Have you seen the Weakley book? It has more about Ella, of course, and names Jerry's parents (no source given, though). It also names seven children. Several of us transcribed it into a GEDCOM and I posted it on WorldConnect. I have been adding information (mostly descendants) when people send it to me. Look for the SAW file, or just enter the name of a Weakley ancestor. Elaine Oakes > Jeremiah Theopolis Bull (called Jerry or Bunk) was born 20 Jan 1869 and died 7 Sep 1943. He married Ella Weakley who was born 1 Sep 1869 and died 10 Apr 1965. They had 6 children: Alice, Boyd, Bessie, Edna, Lester E. and another. > If any of these names sound familiar please contact me. I need to fill in some gaps and I might have some info for you. > Michelle
I thought there might be some descendants of a couple of my ancestors on one of these lists. Jeremiah Theopolis Bull (called Jerry or Bunk) was born 20 Jan 1869 and died 7 Sep 1943. Michelle

Frances ----- Original Message ----- From: Donna Neighbors To: FRANO-COLA.SC@worldnet.att.net Sent: Tuesday, February 18, 2003 6:22 PM Subject: Breedlove-Pace Marriage 2 Jan 1855 This is sort of a shot in the dark. I think these two people, Dudley Breedlove b. abt. 1820 and Sarah Pace, married in Montgomery County on 2 Jan 1855, are my gg grandparents. I found them living in Trigg County, Kentucky in the 1860 Federal Census. You see, my g grandmother, Nora D. Breedlove, has been a mystery for a long time now, but she wasn't born until 1864 or 65. The family story goes that her parents died in some kind of epidemic and she went to live with another family. When I did this research for my mother about 20 years ago, I found Nora living with another family (name now escapes me) where she was a companion to one of their daughters who had "St. Vitus Dance". My mother is no longer with me and I have not been able to get all the old information from my step-father. I guess I was just hoping this information might correlate with that of someone else so I could finally make the connection. My email is Harlequin62389@Yahoo.com. Thank you so much. D! onna K.
