    3. Absolutely! We're going to put a sign there, (one of 100 signs around the county)so everyone will know that it IS known, as someone new discovers it about once a month, and starts a new round of calls to various people! It is called, on our best information, "Mount Olive", but there is no church associated with it (at least not at the present time). The problem is: we don't know how old it is (when it was established). We are using the year of the earliest burial stone, if we can find one, and the ticks are keeping me out of the "field" at this time! Do you have a clue? I have been told around 1818, but that is FAR too early, I think. Cleo.

    3. Jill, Is the Dudley cemetery on what used to be Dunlop Lane in District #6 (there's been road construction and the name of the road may have recently changed) included? This is in the area of the new road made to go to the shopping mall and beyond. Believe the mall is called Governor"s Mall. 1. [TNMONTGO-L] Elijah Davis
    2. Dear Dana and Debbie, I have been trying to compile all the Davis' in Montgomery Co. before 1850 from Marriage records, death records, Obits, and census records. My goal is to find the parents of David Davis b. 1770's. A cousin has paid thousands of dollars on 3 different Professional genealogists in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia with no Luck. I can't help but think some of the Davis'in and around Montgomery Co. at that time may have had a connection with him therefore I am looking into all the Early Davis'. I would like to find the parents of Henry Jefferson DAvis, Elijah Davis and David Davis. (and many others that were in Clarksville) Debbie

    1. Re: [TNMONTGO-L] Elijah Davis........Attn: Debbie
    2. Dear Debbie: Actually, I have not done much on the Davis line in that it is hard to research being a common name and not living in TN. In going back to my records, almost all the info I have on the line came from you. All I did was connect to my husbands line. If that would be of service to you I would gladly share however, as of right now, I will not be much help to you. I will however keep your relatives in mind in case I come across them. Thanks, Debbie

    1. [TNMONTGO-L] Fw: Brantley Cemetery
    2. Cleo
    3. Well, I should have dug deeper!! It's listed on p. 26 of Vol 1 of the Cem Recs! "located at dead end of Garrottsburg Rd, NW of Clarksville. the cemetery is plowed up and the stones pitched over the fence. There had been six or eight stones, but only one was found (in 1967)": Abraham Brantly (1831-1846), son of Mr. & Mrs. A. B. Brantly. It will be listed on the cemetery map of 500 cemeteries we are preparing for October release (not before) as # 3-14. Cleo.
