    3. Anderson - Thanks for information. These are additional great grandparents in this line: James md Sarah Thomas (1770-1851). Their son Nathaniel Overall Hutchison was my third g-grandfather. He md Annie Roark (1804-1875). Their daug Sarah Ann (Jan 10 1836-Feb 12 1931) md Phineas Scruggs Evans (Jul 30 1830-Oct 14 1916). Their daug Mary Forrest Evans (Dec 10 1864-Feb 2 1886) md Charles Edward Jarrell (Sep 2 1856-Apr 9 1888). Hope this helps anyone else looking. I'm still looking for John Hutchison's ancestors as well as Roark, Evans and Jarrell. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Anderson" <oxdrover@mindspring.com> To: <TNMONTGO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 25, 2004 1:59 AM Subject: [TNMONTGO-L] JOHN HUTCHISON (1740-1825) > Linda: > > I'm not a Hutchison descendant, but our ancestors may have been fairly close > neighbors on McAdoo Creek. 3. Linda: I'm not a Hutchison descendant, but our ancestors may have been fairly close neighbors on McAdoo Creek. Timothy and Elizabeth (Sloan) Anderson bought land there in 1791 from Arthur "Madow" (McDow, McAdoo) of Lancaster Co SC, where the Andersons also were from. 1. Re: [TNMONTGO-L] Wiley "Hogue" Anderson death date? Gupton, Rinehart, Rudolph, Duffell, Hutchi(n)son
    2. Anderson
    3. Cleo: Margaret Elizabeth Anderson, daughter of Hogue Anderson, married John Edward Ransdell (1834-1900), Sgt, Co K, 14th Tenn. Inf. They and some of their children are buried in Hogan-Stewart-Graham Cemetery in Montgomery Co. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~nightshade/Cemeteries/Hogan_Stewart_Graham_Cemetery.html . Some of the children were: George (1867-1870), Wiley H. (1869-1920), Bella ca 1872, John A. (1874-1969), dtr b & d 1878, dtr b ca 1880. Wiley Ransdell is buried in Woodall Cem, where also is buried Anderson Ransdell (1906-1958). http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~nightshade/Cemeteries/Woodall_Cemetery.html The family is listed as Randell in 1870 and Ransdale in 1880. Margaret, listed as 23 in 1870, apparently died before 1892, as John had been married 8 years in 1900. All censuses Montgomery. Just found the query you placed at http://genforum.genealogy.com/ransdell/messages/499.html . If you have worked up a more thorough list of the Ransdell children, please let me know. Also, do you have a complete marriage date for John and Margaret? Rootsweb's WorldConnect Project has submissions on the families of both Polk Rinehart and James Gupton. Two children only shown for Rinehart. The Gupton descendancy list can be found by doing a search for James T. Gupton and wife Missouri Anderson at http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi . Children of Polk and Ellen (Anderson) Rinehart: 1) Neppie [Penelope?] Rinehart, m Buck Holt. 2) DeLacey Milton Rinehart, b 7 Mar 1877 Hickory Point, Mtgmry Co TN, d 26 Mar 1939, m Lily Allman. He's evidently the "Lacy" M. Rinehart/Reinhardt whose household is listed in the Christian Co KY census in 1900 and 1910. Indexed by Heritage Quest as "D. M. Rineheart" in Hopkinsville in 1920. James T. and Missouri Amazon (Anderson) Gupton and children also at http://www.kyseeker.com/trigg/maupin/letter.html . Her year of birth is given there as 1846, but the 1900 Graves Co census lists her as born in May 1849. Wiley H. Anderson is next door. 1. Wiley "Hogue" Anderson death date? Gupton, Rinehart, Rudolph, Duffell, Hutchi(n)son
    2. Anderson
    3. Anybody know the death date of Wiley Hogan "Hogue" Anderson? He died presumably either in Graves or Calloway Co KY after the Graves Co 1900 census. He was born in 1818 in Humphreys Co TN, married Margaret Smith in 1843 in Montgomery Co and had three children: 1) Ellen C. Anderson, b ca 1846, m James K. "Polk" Rinehart. 2) Margaret E. or Isabella Anderson, b ca 1848. 3) Missouri Amazon Anderson (1849-1936), m James T. Gupton. Can't find Wiley/Hogue in the KY death index at http://vitals.rootsweb.com/ky/death/search.cgi . Judging from the census, the entry of "Wiley F." Anderson, listed as dying in Graves Co at the age of 54 in 1913, is probably not an entry for Hogue with incorrect middle initial and age. Any help would be appreciated. Would like to hear from descendants of Missouri Gupton or Ellen Rinehart. Also would like to learn the names of Hogue's siblings. One brother was evidently Elijah Rudolph Anderson, b ca 1821, who married Mary B. Duffell and had children James b ca 1856, Mattie Emma b ca 1862 [m Asa W. Hutchi(n)son], and Wiley, b ca 1866. Andy Anderson =========== Hogue's biography from page 1002 of "The Goodspeed Histories of Montgomery, Robertson (et al.) Counties of Tennessee", 1886: "W. H. ANDERSON was born February 10, 1818, in Humphreys County, Tenn., and when a child moved with his parents to Montgomery County, where he still lives. His father, RICHARD ANDERSON, was born in Montgomery County in 1791, and there has always lived with the exception of a short time spent in Humphreys County, where our subject was born. The father, who was a useful citizen, married MARGARET RUDOLPH, who was born in 1791, and to whom were born six children. "The subject of this sketch was educated at home and in the common schools, attending the latter only a few weeks. He learned the carpenter's trade when young, and worked at that occupation a few years. He then followed farming, and acted as constable until 1847. He then purchased the White Oak mills and carried on milling for five years. He then sold his property and returned to Montgomery County, where he has since resided and farmed. In October of 1843 he married MARGARET E. SMITH, who was born in Montgomery County August 30, 1825. She was a daughter of JOHN SMITH, who was of German descent, and died about 1851. "Mr. and Mrs. Anderson became the parents of the following children: Ellen C., Margaret E. and Missouri A. Mrs. Anderson died in 1851. Our subject was a Whig as long as that party existed, and since that time has been independent. He has been magistrate of Montgomery County for 20 years and is at present magistrate of his civil district. He is a member of the Presbyterian Church, as was his wife. Mr. Anderson has taken such an active part in public life that he is now an exceptionally well-informed and intelligent man."
