Mary, This is what I have on Harriet. It definitely needs to be checked. Its been so long since I actively worked on this line, I know it needs a little polishing. I also had a question mark on the 3rd marriage (Randall Metcalf). ______ 1. Harriett Angeline2 Ferrell (William1) was born about 1844, and died Unknown. She married (1) David F. Crouch 1859 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. She married (2) Samuel Scudder 01 November 1868 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. She married (3) Randall Metcalf 1875 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. She married (4) Henry Beadles 1877. Notes for Harriett Angeline Ferrell: On 12 Aug 1871 a Nancy A. FERRELL deeded property to Harriett SCUDDER. *Children of Harriett Ferrell and David Crouch are: 2 i. Mary3 Crouch, born 1860; died Unknown. 3 ii. William Crouch, born 1862; died Unknown. *Child of Harriett Ferrell and Samuel Scudder is: 4 i. Florence3 Scudder, born 1874 in Illinois. Child of Harriett Ferrell and Henry Beadles is: 5 i. Marian3 Beadles. That's it! Do either of you have any information on Harriett? Mary

Hi Jean, This sounds like it could be my line. My gggrandmothers last name was Cartwright according to my ggrandfather's (James R. Ferrell ) death certificate. I just looked at it and he was 75 when he died Dec. 9, 1926 so he would have been born in 1851. I am going to the library tomorrow morning and look in the Davidson Co. census for 1850 and 1860. I had assumed that he was born in Montgomery Co. Laura
Thanks, Pam I think this maybe my William Ferrell. My ggrandfathers death certificate listed his mother only as Miss Cartwright. Information was given by his daughter Elizabeth Ferrell Halliburton. Laura
Thanks Pam. Well this throws a kelter, a William H. His war records showed him as 17 entering and his other papers showed him as 15-both sets of papers showed him from Henry and Montgomery Co. Maybe to try Henry Co. Thanks, Dana
Thanks a bunch. It is a start and I do appreciate it. Bette
<< William Ferrell to Elizabeth Cartwright 3/13/1849 Davidson Co. >> Laura, if this is your line, then we now have a connection to our Ferrells. Jean C~~
WOW! Thanks Pam. I am doing this line too! You're great! Jean C~~
Laura, I'm not sure of my sorces but I have William Ferrell married to ??? Carwright, in my FTM. Maybe we should start looking for a Delia Cartwright marrying William??? I am very bad about not writing down my sources. But I'm learning. Jean C~~
Hi, There was a Bryant obit in The Tennessean today.
Thanks Jean! I think we can give Laura a match now. I hope so anyway. William Ferrell to Elizabeth Cartwright 3/13/1849 Davidson Co. -- ----------------------------------------------------- Click here for Free Video!! http://www.gohip.com/freevideo/

Hi Sharon, There is a R. S. Bradbury to Elizabeth Ford in Montgomery Co. 12/24/1846. I 'm not sure if this is what you wanted. There are around fifty or so Ford marriages in just the groom book. For Bradberry/Bradbury, there is maybe a dozen in the groom book. You didn't state exactly what you wanted. Sorry, I meant Do you have a marriage. Laura
Hi Pam, So you have a marriage in Montgomery Co. in 1869 for James R. Ferrell and Nannie Gibbs? Also a earlier marriage for William Ferrell and Delila ? Thanks, Laura
Well, Laura, I couldn't be of any help at all. There was no listing for a James or William Ferrell to anyone in Montgomery Co. there is no listing for a Nannie Gibbs or a Gibbs marriage to a Ferrell. No marriage for a William to a Delila anywhere. Sorry I couldn't help. Pam -- ----------------------------------------------------- Click here for Free Video!! http://www.gohip.com/freevideo/
Bette, I missed out on part of this "conversation" about the Tates, but I checked my "Index to Early TN Wills & Administrations, 1779-1861" and found two Tate listings in Dickson Co., next door to Montgomery: Dickson Co. TN Anderson Tate, 1856, AS (means Administrator's Settlements) Book C, page 460 Samuel Tate, 1834, AS Book A, page 249 Now for Montgomery Co. there are two Tatom listings, if you think the name might have been changed or misspelled: Montgomery Co. John Tatom, 1831, Record Book F, page 311 John M. Tatom, 1831, Record Book F, page 258. Dickson Co. James Tatom, 1850, AS Book C, page 78 Don't know if this is of any use, but could be a lead. Deanna
Hi Bette, No luck again. But, they may have married in a county whose early records no longer exist. Pam
