    1. [TNMONTGO-L] Theaters/"movie houses"
    2. Sandra Ellis
    3. Does anyone happen to remember the name of the old "movie house" that used to be upstairs in what I remember to be the "Parks-Belk" building on Franklin Street near 3rd? Was it the "Princess"? (It closed about the time the "Capitol" opened.) Also, what was the name of the one that was in the old "Sterchi's" building on 3rd Street? There was a tavern across Franklin (and to the left) from the old "Capital Theater". Anyone remember anything about it? (The list is a little "slow" so I thought I'd throw a little trivia out there!) 3. For those that are Baggett/Rye researchers (and for Elsie Smith): Juanita Eads Finch Sheppard (no. 512 in Elsie's Baggett Book) passed away this morning. (Juanita was an organ donor and is still on "minimal life support" simply to protect the organs she has donated until the arrangements are made for transplants.) Sandy Ellis

    1. [TNMONTGO-L] Cherokee connection
    2. Nancy C.
    3. I'm looking for my ggggrandmother Mary Melinda Greenwood who, we believe, was born in or near Montgomery Co. TN. She was said to be Cherokee but I think her mother was the Cherokee. Still cannot prove but believe her father was James Greenwood whose father was John of Virginia. She married George W. Upshaw (born GA) whose father Parson Upshaw was in Montgomery Co. for awhile also. Mary Melinda was born around 1800-1810. They married in Shawneetown, IL in 1826 but no record of them living there for any length of time. If anyone has any info on GREENWOOD families there, I would like to hear from you. This has been a brick wall for a very long time and I keep hoping there will be a break through. Thanks. -- Nancy C. Pittman Valley, AZ Genealogy=Where you confuse the dead and irritate the living!

I have been doing this kind of quarter time for for the past 15 years and now I would say I'm up to half time since we got a PC with internet access. I think there is a CUNNINGHAM in this, too. I believe it was Ann m. James HOLLIS which are the parents of one of my OGLESBY brides. Thanks so much! Deb OGLESBY
