Lists, Is the Henry Raper (b. 1810-died ca. 1880-1890) who married Mary Nicholson ca. 1834 and had the following children: Paulina, Lucretia, Emaline, Newton J.,Thomas B. James M., Andrew J., Robert T., Winfield S, Millard F., and Merida H. ....the same Henry Raper That is mentioned in Monroe Co. Selected Chancery Court Papers 1886-1912, in case entry # 1130 GW Ervin vs. WL Ervin, Jr. ??? In depositions/testimony for this case, a Jane Raper, wife of Henry Raper ran off with GW Ervin while they were still married. They apparently "ran off" in the early 1880's. Henry Raper apparently died ca. 1886, then his wife and GW Ervin returned some years later. It also appears that 2 of Jane Rapers small children left with their mother. I have more the of the depositions/testimony if anyone has any thoughts on this...
