Phoebe Ellis, name is actually Phoebe Starnes, b. abt 1855 NC. They would have been m. in Cherokee Co., NC most likely but I'm thinking they were back and forth between Cherokee and Monroe Counties. I'm hoping maybe someone might recognize this name and know of a connection to the John Bell family who lived in Monroe Co., TN in the early 1900's, probably before then, but my father, b. 1915, knew John Bell when he was a young boy and John was old then. I have a photograph of the John Bell I'm looking for if anyone would like to see it. Maybe you'll recognize him and can help on this.
