You would probably have more success looking in Loudon Co. for your Cassadys. I grew up in Monroe county and knew some Cassadys, but not a Roy, they came from the area where Loudon,McMinn and Roan Counties meet. I looked in the Loudon Co. hertiage book , there are several of them listed, but no Roy. What branch of the Langley tree do you decend from? Mine was William LONGLEY from Loudon Co. Va. Good luck.
