He and his brother Thomas came to Monroe Co, TN from Montgomery Co, NC in the early 1800's. Their parents were Absalom Crowder (b. abt. 1765, VA, d. 06-09-1833, NC) and Martha Stacy (d. 06-04-1824). Overstreet (b. 1786, VA, d. bef. 1858, Monroe Co, TN), m. Nancy Elizabeth Harrick (b. 1805, NC, d. Monroe Co, TN). Their children were: James Thomas Crowder (b. 14-02-1827, d. 13-12-1893), m. 17-11-1851, Rachel Givens (b. 1826). Stacy Jane Crowder (b. 1829, d. 16-04-1873, Jefferson Co, TN), m. 06-12-1851, William A. Burchfield (b. 14-02-1835, d. 13-10-1900). Judie Margaret Crowder (b. 27-01-1836, d. 15-09-1882), m. 10-03-1855, A.J. Saunders (b. 16-02-1829, d. 27-11-1889). Elizabeth (b. 1837), Joseph (b. 1839), Richard (b. 1844), and possibly a William Calvin m. Prudence J. Luster. Can anyone help with any additional info??? Thanks. Bob
