Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/RgB.2ACE/245.3 Message Board Post: I have part of a questioneer that was sent to the Confederate Veterans about 1920 and it was filled out by a Giles, it says his father was William born in Virginia, and mother was Peggy, his grandfather William came from Ireland and settled in Virginia and came to Roan Co. That he married in Morgantown N.C. in 1866 and brought his family accross the Blue Ridge Mountains in wagons, we came back to Roan Co. and settled. His great grandfather Benjamine Hensley lived to be 112 years of age.He said he lived in Roan and Rhea Counties. I do know Post Oak Springs was in the area where Roan and Loudon Cos. come together.
