To nephew Isaac Taylor; to Margaret Isabelle Taylor of the half blood, land in Blount County being land owned by Berry Taylor at time of his death adjoining lands of James Taylor, to be taken care of by Execs. until sister shall marry or arrive at maturity; medical books to be left with Dr. Joseph Upton. Exec: brother James Taylor. Wit; J.I. Wright, Dr. Joseph Upton. Probated Feb. 1863 Record Book page 544 # 64 Kiziah Taylor, exec. 19 May 1866. To son David D. Taylor, two shares in farm of which husband Leroy Taylor died possessed, viz, the share bought by me from Barsheba Orr and her husband James W. Orr being the one undivided sixth and the fifth of one undivided eighth of said farm, also share bought by me from son Isaac; to son Leroy Taylor, the share of son Garret R. In Marriage Records; Taylor, James W. to Milly Norman 10/23/1838, Book 1, page 33 Taylor, Margaret N. to Amos Carden 7/21/1842 , Book 1, page 185 In 1850 Monroe Co., TN Census; Dist. 15 # 1503 Tailor, James 54, TN Milly 37, SC Josiah 11, TN Mary 9, TN Elizabeth 5, TN George 4, TN Elvira 3, TN Morrow, Catharine 16, TN This may not be your James W. Taylor. I did not find a listing in the Cemetery book for a James W. Taylor death date of 1838. He may be buried in an unmarked grave like hundreds of others are. In the early years, that was normal. Sometimes a rock marked the spot and over the years the rock got moved about. The court records may not be your line but they may be related.
