    1. [TNMONROE-L] New McMinn ALHN site update
    2. I just wanted to let everyone know how the McMinn County ALHN Site was doing. It's been an amazing month to say the least. As of 8am we've had over 960 visitors to our index page. We've added lots of new material to the site including a search engine. Every day seems to bring more ideas and information. In the last few days I've put up several links including the 1820 pension database link to Lineages.com, the WWII honors list, and several other major spots. We've also added more maps (on their own page), Native American Links and African American links, a reunion list, a list of Church/Cemetery Decoration Days, recent deaths from local newspapers, and started the cemetery index online and so much more. We're always looking for more links and information to add to this site. If you've got a page that you'd like linked to us let us know. Even if you don't have a page but do have information to be put on let us know. We'll put it on and give you the credit you deserve. I'm looking for information on the Church/Cemetery Decoration/Dinner on the grounds days. There are so many churches that I don't have that information for. Let me know so I can add it to the page. Also let me know if I've missed any churches. It's hard to keep track of them and I don't want to miss any. I'm also looking for someone to send me the names from their local paper in the South East Tennessee Area. I'm trying to put the name, age, town (plus place of death if different) and paper name. I'm covering Athens but need someone for Bradley County, Polk County, Loudon County, Monroe County, Roane County and any other paper that would have the info we need. You can send it in by the week or by the day. Just let me know if you would like to help with this project. It'll be an ongoing project but if we work together it won't be so hard. Also the site will accept obits with a McMinn/Southeast Tennessee connection. There are so many connections between our counties it would really be hard to stop at just information about McMinn. Thanks to everyone who is making this site such a success. Come an Visit-- You are always welcome in McMin County Our TEnnessee Home!
