Surnames: Henson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/RgB.2ACE/615 Message Board Post: Henderson Henson and wife, Susan Smith and their family apparently lived on 4 Mile Branch in the vicinity of Niles Ferry, Monroe County, TN until near the time he submitted his petition to the Southern Claims Commissioners in losses incurred at his farm on 4 Mile Branch in Monroe County. The Claim was submitted by Henderson and Susan Henson in Loudon, Loudon County where they indicated their postal mailing addresses were at the time of the first claim submission January 1873. The Loudon County, Tenn. Gen Web board <http://www.tngenweb.org/loudon> has some information on this family. Henderson and Susan are both buried at Steekee Cemetery - Part II and their death certificates are posted at this site in the 1908-1912 Death Certificates section. Susan Henson left a will which is posted on line.Obituaries for them and several of their decendants are available just by typing in "Henson" (but not the county) on the obituary site. Their son, George Norris Henson, left a very revealing obituary which contains a wealth of family history.
