STRATTON, Sarah Lynn — Passed away suddenly on March 4, 2006. Sarah was born on August 24, 1978, in Roseburg, Oregon. Sarah is survived by her parents, Jo and John Cope of Sedro-Woolley, Washington; Don and Karen Stratton of Roseburg; son, Reahn Latham Heflen of Auburn, Washington; sister, Angela J. Cope of Bothell, Washington; sister, Melissa J. Routt of Sedro-Woolley; her brother, Andrew S. Routt of Roseburg; sister, Tonya King and her husband, Ron of Shady Cove, Oregon; brother, Donnie Stratton and his wife, Jerri; brother, Jim Stratton; and brother, Matt Stratton, all of Roseburg. Sarah’s other remaining family are her grandmother, Roberta G. Helman of Roseburg; her aunt and uncle, Phyllis and Rick Navarro of Roseburg; cousins, Zackery and Jacklynn Navarro of Roseburg; and her fiance, Mark Vance of Cosmopolis, Washington. Sarah also had numerous cousins and extended family throughout Oregon and Washington. Sarah graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in! 1996 and Skagit Community College in the running start program the same year. She also earned her Veterinary Assistant Certificate from Bellingham Technical College in 1998. She was attending Tacoma Community College in the radiology program at the time of her death. Sarah worked at North Cascade Veterinary Hospital, Des Moines Animal Hospital and was presently employed at Auburn Hospital. Sarah loved the outdoors and photography. She was hiking, camping, and outdoors taking pictures as often as possible. She was close to her family and made contact with at least one of her siblings every day. She also enjoyed gardening and music. Sarah started an animal sanctuary with her mother in 1998, which she remained on the board and involved with even after she moved away. She was loved by all who met her. There will be a viewing on Saturday, March 11, 2006, at Taylor’s Family Chapel from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
