Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to do lookups in the McMinn Chancery Court records. I have chose three people. Emily Stelly has been a volunteer for the Monroe County site for sometime and is dedicated to helping folks with family history research. Bernice Raymond has volunteered for several projects and has been chosen to do these lookups. Brenda Thomas is also a 'veteran' lookup volunteer for this area and familiar with the process. Give us a few weeks to get organized then this service will be made available. For the others of you who have volunteered please be patient....your time is coming. I am looking for other documents that will be usable and as soon as possible will be getting them....such as more Monroe deed abstracts, marriage records or probate records....for example. Hi Joyce, You and so many make it so great for those of us that can't get to see the old records. I am making myself available if you need someone for transcriptions some day. Meantime, special appreciation to all those that contribute so much. My research has been focused in Blount, Bradley, Hamilton Co., TN but some of the family stopped in Monroe and stayed there. I have not been able to locate all of them yet. With the new information at Monroe site it helps so much.
