We have also added documentation (birth and death certificates, marriage licences, court minutes, pictures of individuals, etc.) This database is being updated daily. We cover mainly the Southeast US, but if you have a cemetery in your area that you would like to have online for everyone to see, please photograph or transcibe it and send it to us! We will take transcriptions only, but would prefer to have pictures, too. And we will take any documentation that would be genealogically important. There is also a Comment box for you to add information about any individual we have listed online. We hope you make a visit to CS,I at <http://www.cemeterysurveysinc.com>, and remember, we are FREE and will remain FREE, to help everyone share our passion in Genealogy! Hello Kenneth, Thought this might interest you. I received this notice from a fellow Vincent researcher from Washington D.C. last week. I am waiting on a return email from Mr. Treadway. I think there might be a mistake on the name of the cemetery for the grave stone dedication for Mr. Lockmiller. He gave the name Willow Grove and I think it might be Walnut Grove. This is very exciting to me. Since it will be held at Ten Mile and I live so close, I want to attend if at all possible. I am interested in stories and photos. Mary Sue Mason See the following note; Attention Descendants of: 43d Tenn Regiment (all Companies), CSA, Reunion Announcement The 43d Tenn Regiment was called to service in East Tennessee during 1861. A descendant reunion will be held during the weekend of 7-9 July 2006, with base camp at or about Bayside Marina, Ten Mile, TN, just outside Kingston. Events include 43rd Historian George Martin's keynote address, a confederate re-enactment camp, the Dixie Gray singers, cookouts, story sharing, program at the Confederate Memorial Hall, and will culminate with a Sunday, 9 July, 3:00 p.m. Memorial Service and grave stone dedication at the Willow Grove Church (Decatur, TN) for PRIVATE JAMES LOCKMILLER of the 43rd Regiment Calvary, Company D. To register please contact S. Treadway at treadcam@bellsouth.net. Agenda is being developed and will be forwarded to those who register. your probably never done with your family history/geneology, but i hope i'm finished with my harris family book i've been working on for the past 4 years or more.. well i'm done with what i have gotten to put in it, i'll put it that way... i just gotta go an print it.. I would like to thank all of you that helped me over the years with research and other stuff.. Thank You all so very much.. Jeanie Everhart names in this book, begin with my ggg grandparents James & Elizabeth Johnson Harris. gg grandparents James & Sallie Bowers Harris, surnames of Payne,Robinson,Harris,Stakley,Moses,Collins,White,Sitzlar,Nelson,Watson. My maiden name of Carmley but all my Carmley info is also being put in a book of it's on, but is taken a bit longer i should say... AGAIN THANK YOU ALL !!!!!!
I thought I might stir things up a bit. I have been reviewing new and old research and it is my belief that many of the MOSES in Monroe Co. TN. in 1840-1850 are children of DAVID MOSES, b. 1765. DAVID was likely married to NANCY LONG. Additionally, it is possible that DAVID MOSES was married twice. We know that DAVID had AT LEAST 6 sons. I believe they include; THOMAS of Monroe Co. TN., DANIEL MOSES of 1850 Monroe Co. TN., an unnamed son whose widow ELIZABETH was living in Monroe Co. TN. in 1840-1850, JESSE MOSES of Burke Co. NC. and DAVID MOSES lll. Other likely candidates are; CALVIN (JAMES or JOHN) found in Polk Co. TN. in 1843, and JAMES of 1810 Burke Co. NC. As JOHN is a very strong given name in our lines, it is quite likely that there is a JOHN in there somewhere. It is my belief that SAMUEL MOSES who died in Monroe Co. TN. in 1830, is given credit for a lot of children that aren't his. Love to hear from you all. Billie

He lived in Sweetwater in the early 1960's and was reassined to Columbus GA, after my father graduated high school, 1962, in Sweetwater. He told me before he died in 2004 the box was left on the back porch and would have contained a Large Oval Picture with Goldish looking frame. It would have had two men and a baby (or toddler). The papers in the box would have had the names Andre or Peterman, possibly Jackson or Godsey, tho i doubt it. I spoke several years ago to a Ms. Peterman (not related)in Sweetwater, My grandmother worked at their diner. However Ms. Peterman could not remember where the house was, she remembered my family though. With all the papers i have i still do not know an exact address, of the house Grandpa Purchased in sweetwater, and my Father does not remember anything more than it was a newer home in a neighborhood. I know this is a long shot trying to find it, but i just can! t let go, it may be out there in someones closet not knowing where it goes....
I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of the Eleazer Camp Ground before it bacame the Cemetery....Here in the Tellico PLains,Mt.Vernon area.... Thank You,Jeanie
