Heritage Book, published 1997; # 1437 Jefferson Summerville Walker , submitted by Lois Briley, Burkburnett, TX Jefferson Summerville Walker was son of Mordecai James Walker and Alice Elizabeth Sweatman. In 1850 Census shows he had a sister Rachel Adaline and brother Andrew. In 1860 there was a different wife and a daughter Mary E. Other children in the household are thought to belong to Rachel Adaline were Sarah E., Amanda, and Tabitha L. Jefferson S. joined the Southern Army. He met and married Jane Ellen Frogge in Clinton Co. KY, Feb. 18, 1865. They had four children, three boys and one girl, William Franklin, Drury Burton, George Prentis and Ida Jane. The daughter died as an infant and the wife died April 16, 1875. Jefferson married next Malvina A. Bullard Nov. 29, 1875 in Clinton Co., KY. They had nine children, Ellen, Andrew James K., Millard, Allen, Emma, Helen, Edna and Charlie. They left KY in 1892 and went to Texas until 1910 and then settled in Roff, OK. Jefferson died there on July 17, 1924. He and wife Melvina are buried in West Hill Cem., Fitzhugh, OK I do not research this line. Just sharing records. I am a volunteer lookup person.

I have: Margaret Jane "Peggy" Moses born 1826, Monroe County, Tennessee (first child of Walter J. Moses and first his wife Nancy Jane "Unknown"). Margaret first married an "Unknown" McCravy in 1845. They had one son, Joseph McCravy born 1846. She then married Henry Hiram Nash, and they had one daughter Rebecca Anne "Becky" Nash. They lived in St. Francois County, Missouri.
