If the date is 1934, and it is a man in his 30s, it might be Robert MOSER, b. 27 Aug 1901, who was the son of John F. and Josephine (Lindsey) MOSER. My file shows that he moved to California at some point in his life. He is not a close relative to me.
Do you know anything about this Smith family? Can you direct me to someone that might help? I have been looking for a Robert Smith that married Myrtle Baker in Monroe county TN 12 Feb 1906. They had a daughter Beulah Smith born 24 Feb 1909, now deceased. Myrtle age 21 and daughter age 1 were listed in Myrtle's parents home in the 1910 Census of McMinn County TN. Robert was not listed with them. Myrtle's daughter lived with Myrtle's parents to adulthood. Neither Myrtle nor Robert appear in subsequent censuses after 1910 with their daughter in the Baker grandparents (Samuel & Dora Baker) home in McMinn Co. TN. If Myrtle and Robert divorced and remarried, Robert Smith is the name that would remain unchanged. Myrtle could have retained Smith or reverted to Baker or remarried and took a new name. I have not been able to find out what happened to Robert or Myrtle Smith or where they may have moved to. I would like to know what happened to them and where they are buried. If you have any clues to where I might find information on Robert or Myrtle, please contact me. I do not have a clue as to Robert Smith's parents, most likely from Monroe Co. or McMinn Co.TN. I estimate that Robert's age is about the same as Myrtle's (21 in 1910). Jerry Baker jnbathens@bellsouth.net
