So many of our earlier records are gone. I can't find any Randalls here at all in 1840. 1830 Monroe Co. Tn Pg. 150 Randle, Jane 22-220001 The 1820 Monroe as well as many east Tenn counties are lost. You might check our lookup people to check out a possible deed, however most the early ones of those are gone. Joy Joy Locke jlocke@usit.net Monroe Co. http://www.tngenweb.org/monroe/obitindex.htm You might want to bookmark this web page. It's an index to earlier obits and instructions on whom to ask or if you'd rather, you can e-mail Madisonville Library and ask the cost of copying the newspaper. The newspapers are divided into 3 sections. http://www.tngennet.org/monroe/monobit/monobit.htm My sister has done these of actual obits. It doesn't give an address or phone or anything in the front of the book. I think I bought it at the Vonore Library when I was passing through one day - I live in McMinn County. You might do a search for the Vonore Historical Society and see what comes up. Sorry not to be of more help.
