For your protection, do not open emails from people you don?t know and do not open attachments that you are not expecting. Even emails from people you know are suspect, especially if there is a strange subject line. Additional helpful information: The subject line of an infected email may ready "Hello," "Hi," "Test" or "mail delivery failed" or be blank The body of email may include verbiage related to "7-bit ASCII encoding," "unicode characters" or "mail transaction failed" Infected emails are typically 22,528 bytes in length File extensions of infected attachments are: .exe, .pif, .scr, .cmd, and .zip. The worm is known to affect the following systems: Windows 2000, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows XP Unfortunately, Earthlink cannot help you with virus issues.
