My great grandfather was John McFarland married to Ann Cooper in and around Tate and Panola Counties MS. I believe my great great grandfather was also named John McFarland (or so my grandfather said). Unfortunately, I don't know his wife's name. Did your McFarland's live around Tate/Panola County MS?? Do you know if your John McFarland had a son named John? According to my grandfather either his father John was named John Henry or his grandfather was named John Henry.
