What many are still unaware of is the fact that since Ancestry and Rootsweb combined and greatly improved all the message boards is that every post that is placed on a surname message board will show up on the mailing list. The subject line will read "not a subscriber". This is a good thing since the mailing list subscribers will see EVERY post without have to switch back and forth between message boards and mailing lists. The new setup is an excellent one and allows each user to manage their own surnames they are searching. Like everything else many have complained about the change but give it a try. It isn't difficult to negotiate. I good place to begin is at www.rootsweb.com Scroll down to the link to "Message Boards" and there you go! BTW, if any of you don't know it www.rootsweb.com has a gigantic search engine. I have found hundreds of hits on one person's name. It's definately worth a try. Joyce G.
