This family even lived briefly in Knox County. Current info I have on him suggests he was born abt 1844 and died abt 1932. His father was William GILES who married Margaret "Peggy" HENSLEY in Roane County. He himself married Dicy/Dice/Dicey (Unk maiden name). Some of his daughters' married names included BROCK, PATTERSON, WILLIAMSON, CARROLL, and BALL. His son was William Morgan GILES of Harriman who married Cora Pickens ELLIS. A recent lead says that his brother Samuel JILES lived in Meigs County and married Sarah RENFRO/RENTRFOE/RENFROE whose children included William, Lydia, Nancy, Laura, and Gideon JILES.
