    3. Thanks Joyce, appreciate the tip. I have a question about the Meigs County Genealogy/History Group. Do you know if they have published any books on the county? I have a Meigs County Cemetery Book but wondered if there is anything else available. Thanks. 1. [{Meigs Co., TN}] Jones/Noble in Brittsville, Meigs Co., TN
    2. Stephen von Hitritz
    3. Greetings: Several of us are looking for origins of Amy and Margaret Jones in Brittsville. Amy Anna Jones, b. February 16, 1815, Brittsville, TN (according to Obit), d. May 30, 1906, Grover Hill, Paulding Co., Ohio, m. David Clear (David Hell), December 12, 1838, Preble Co., Ohio. David b. April 14, 1821, Preble Co., Ohio, d. March 14, 1883, Grover Hill, Paulding Co., Ohio. 8 children. Her sister, Margaret Jones, b. November 08, 1817, Brittsville, TN, d. ???. Preble Co., Ohio, m. Joel Clear (David's brother), April 10, 1836, Preble Co., Ohio. Joel (Joel Hell) b. September 21, 1814, Pennsylvania, d. abt. 1849, Preble Co., Ohio. 7 children. I understand Brittsville was part of the Cherokee Territory in 1815 and part of Rhea Co, sometime shortly afterwards. >From the 1880 census, we see that Amy and Margaret's father was b. in NC and mother in VA. One of Amy's sons, Joel Clear, has a death certificate that claims his mother was Anna Noble. We know her name was Jones. Noble might have been related to them. Any information appreciated. Saw that you left a query on Meigs Co Board yesterday. Glade to hear from you , Have a lot of question for you , Hope you don't mine answering them for me. First , How was your grandfather and could I get a copy of your family group sheet from him back to you. Second, Did you know where Edward T. was buried before last year . My cousin , Namuni Young, had been looking for it ,she said for almost ten years and last year she got lucky and got a lead on it , I was luck and was up there when we went out and found it . The old field stone was broken and in the ground , we dug it out and cleaned it up where we could see that it was his ,and ended up using flour to read the dates on it, there was another grave next to it with out a stone that we figure is Sarah Julia. Namuni is a member of the DOC and got a Confederate Stone decanted for him . I wasn't there but have pictures of it as will as the program. So question #3 is would you like my to send you copies of some of the pictures and program? And the last one for now , Where do you live , I live in Texas. Hope to hear back from you . Eddie Cox
