Appeared in the Independent Appeal Wed., Dec. 2, 1998 ESTERLEE VERL KIRK Esterlee Verl Kirk, age 84, died on Wed., Nov. 25, 1998, at Methodist Healthcare McNairy of pneumonia. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fourth St. Church of Christ in Selmer. Services took place at 1:00 p.m. On Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, at Shackelford Chapel in Selmer. Burial was held at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Officiating the services was Minister Randy Mead. Pallbearers were her grandsons, David Dickey, Dustin Dickey, Jamie Taylor, Chad Taylor, Lynn Heavner, Leon Kirk, Russell Williams, and Brad Kirk. Mrs. Kirk was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Bradford Kirk, father, William Andrew McCann, mother Elsie Barnes McCann, a daughter, Judy Ann Kirk, and a brother, Willard McCann. She is survived by five daughters, Maxine Hallum of Dothan, Ala., Carol Moore of Selmer, Janie Heavner of Little Rock, Ark., Vicki Ray of Selmer, and Patsy Martin of Counce, three sons, Jimmy Kirk of Lexa, Ark., Jerry Kirk of Somerville, and Ricky Kirk of Jackson, three sisters, Eular McVay of Bethel Springs, Willie Gray of Selmer, and Mildred Smith of Bethel Spring, two brothers, Marion McCann of Milan and Earl McCann of Newbern, twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
