Dear Sara, I am researching Adolphus Monroe Reinhardt, born in Newton, North Carolina in the mid 1800s. He left there when he was about 17 years old to make his fortune. He was called Adolph. He was my maternal great-grandfather. He bought land in McNairy County, Tenn. and married the daughter of a friend of his from North Carolina, Jacks Alexander. Adolph married my great-grandmother, Luvenia Louise Reinhardt, who was born in a BlackHawk( Keetoowah) Cherokee Indian village in Tupelo, Mississippi, in the early 1860s. Adolph had the largest farm in McNairy County, Tenn., that was owned by him , a man of color in the 1900s. He had a Church and a school built on his property. Do yo have any info for me? Thanks for responding.
