I am researching the ancestors and decendants of Benjamin CURTIS, my g-g-grandad, born about 1798, place unknown, but possibly Alabama. He died about 1853 in McNairy County. His wife was a Sarah???, said to have been Native American, but I have no proof. Their children were: Joel D., Jane, Malinda, Arilla, Solomon and Benjamin, all born between March 1831 and March 1846 in McNairy County. Joel D. CURTIS, married a Margaret JEWELL in McNairy County. Margaret and her sister Jane JEWELL, were the children of Tabitha JEWELL. Unknown as to who Tabiltha's husband was. All these folks are found on the 1850 McNairy County census. I would be more than willing to share informtion on these folks.
