10/20/1998 I am researching the Hardin family of McNairy County and Tishomingo Co. Ms. Looking for the names of the parents of Simon Peter Hardin, born in South Carolina and died, I think, in McNairy County. Does anyone have information on his son, Bartlett Hardin, who served in Nathan Bedofrd Forrest's unit in the Civil War? Also trying to research the Whitehurst family. Trying to find out what happened to the children of Anne Nethery and Alfred Whitehurst. Alfred, son of Benjamin B L Whitehurst and lived in Tishomingo County, Ms, Wayne Co, Tn and McNairy Co.
